The Engine Overhaul business has the capability to service all products in the Trent engine family, this includes Trent 500, Trent 700, Trent 800, Trent 900, Trent 1000 and Trent XWB; SAESL is the only Trent engine MRO that can support all product variants. The Engine Overhaul business has the capacity to repair and overhaul over 300 Trent engines per year and it is equipped with a state-of-the-art Engine Test Facility that supports our best-in-class engine turnaround times.

Job Summary
Join our Capability Acquisition team, where you will play a pivotal role in driving the development, acquisition, and deployment of advanced technologies and capabilities that support aero engine Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) operations. This role focuses on leveraging cutting-edge solutions, including machine vision, machine learning, automation, and other emerging technologies, to optimize repair processes, enhance operational efficiency, and strengthen overall overhaul capabilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Led the acquisition and industrialization of new engine MRO capabilities to enhance operational performance and service offerings.
- Conducted feasibility studies and capability gap analyses to identify and implement improvements in safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
- Planned and executed the deployment of new technologies and capabilities, ensuring alignment with operational and business objectives.
- Collaborated with OEMs and cross-functional stakeholders to develop, validate, and implement technical solutions.
- Evaluated and integrated emerging technologies, including robotics, AI/ML, automation, and additive manufacturing, to optimize engine overhaul processes.
- Partnered with OEMs and technology providers to develop next-generation MRO solutions and capabilities.
- Led technology maturation, validation, and deployment activities across operational cells.
- Established and managed technical processes for the development, qualification, and implementation of new technologies.
- Managed capability acquisition and technology development projects from concept through operational readiness.
- Coordinated cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain to achieve project objectives.
- Monitored project schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
- Provided technical expertise to support business development initiatives and strategic capability planning.
Qualification / Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role involving technology-driven capability development, implementation, and industrialization.
- Strong technical knowledge of gas turbine engines and advanced repair technologies.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Understanding of automation technologies, including AI/ML applications, robotics, and smart manufacturing systems.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams effectively.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.Responsible, proactive, and results-driven in achieving objectives.
