About this role

The Quality Strategy & Programme Lead plays a critical role in driving quality transformation through data analytics, programme management, and structured problem-solving methodologies. This role ensures that data-driven insights shape quality improvements, defect prevention strategies, and risk mitigation initiatives. The position also acts as the Problem-Solving Standard Owner, embedding structured methodologies such as 8D & RCCA within the organization to enhance defect reduction efforts.

This role ensures that Digital Quality Management Systems (QMS), AI-powered analytics, and performance dashboards are leveraged to improve operational quality and decision-making. Additionally, it integrates cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams to align quality objectives with business strategy.

Job Description
Data Governance & Performance Measurement

  • Establish and maintain governance frameworks for data structure, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and traceability in defect tracking and compliance reporting.
  • Develop and oversee enterprise-wide quality KPIs and dashboards, ensuring leadership has actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Implement and manage predictive analytics and AI-driven insights to proactively identify and mitigate quality risks before they escalate.
  • Standardise defect reporting and root cause analysis methodologies across all business units, ensuring uniformity in data-driven quality management.

Programme Management & Strategic Quality Initiatives

  • Lead and manage enterprise-wide quality programmes, ensuring alignment with the Zero Defects Strategy and broader business objectives.
  • Lead and establish the Defect Analytics Hub, ensuring data-driven insights lead to tangible quality improvements and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Drive initiatives under the Digital Quality Transformation Programme, ensuring integration of smart tools, AI-driven analytics, and digital quality management systems (QMS).
  • Coordinate cross-functional quality improvement projects, ensuring best practices are shared and implemented across operational and support functions.

Data-Driven Continuous Improvement & Risk Mitigation

  • Utilise data analytics and defect trend analysis to identify systemic quality issues and lead structured corrective actions.
  • Ensure data-backed risk assessments support decision-making in quality, compliance, and engineering changes.
  • Implement lessons-learned programmes, ensuring insights from past quality incidents are used to prevent future occurrences.
  • Oversee compliance with data integrity standards and ensure alignment with regulatory and customer reporting requirements.

Leadership, Collaboration & Capability Development

  • Provide training and guidance to Quality Managers, Engineers, and Business Leaders on data-driven quality management and programme execution.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to integrate data-driven decision-making into quality improvement initiatives.
  • Foster a data-driven quality culture, ensuring that employees at all levels understand and utilise quality data for operational improvements. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Data Analytics, Aviation Maintenance, or a related field.
  • Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), AS9110, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, or Data Analytics certifications are beneficial.
  • 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Data Analytics, Compliance, or Risk Management in an MRO, Aerospace, or Manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in defect analytics, process improvement, and quality data management.
  • Experience with digital quality management systems (QMS), statistical process control (SPC), and predictive analytics tools.
  • Strong background in managing enterprise-wide quality programmes and cross-functional projects.
  • Previous experience in regulatory compliance (EASA Part 145, CAAS, FAA, or similar aviation regulations) is preferred.
